About Us

The HBCU Wellness Collective addresses a pressing social challenge that disproportionately affects Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) students and their communities. Due to chronic disinvestment, HBCU students face a myriad of sexual health and relationship challenges, including disproportionately high incidence of HIV, STIs, unintended pregnancy, and relationship violence.

Our mission is to train Black students on HBCU campuses to become sexual health educators and equip students with the knowledge, resources and confidence to navigate their sexual wellbeing.
